Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention

Do you have a child under the age of 6 who is diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or another intellectual disability? This is where our Early Intensive Behaviour Intervention (EIBI) service can help you.

Here’s how it works. First, our consultant meets with the family and child to assess the child and family culture. Next, based on the results of the assessment, the consultant develops a behaviour plan of intervention – an individualized curriculum for the child. The consultant provides ongoing training to the parents and team of behaviour interventionists on the implementation of the teaching programs. The team meets every 6-8 weeks to monitor progress. Finally, an annual progress report will be completed yearly.

Families have the choice to independently hire behaviour interventionists or request to include a behaviour interventionist service within their contract with LBSS.
