This service is offered to families with school-aged children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other intellectual disabilities. Our consultants use a family-centered approach and a systematic application of principles of behaviour to develop a Positive Behaviour Support Plan to teach new skills and address problem behaviours in a variety of settings. There are two ways to access this service:
- Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) – we have an annual contract to provide behaviour consultation services. Families are referred to us by their respective social workers and the service is offered to the family free of charge.
- Fee for service contracts – families can access behaviour consultation using their private or autism funds.
